Finding the production plan that would yield the least trim is a very complicated task due to enormous amount of possible combinations of rectangles of required sizes.
The cloud service and the information system "Corrugate" are designed for optimization of planning and production control of corrugate box making plants.
The service can be integrated into 1С:Enterprise 8.2 platform, Microsoft DAX, SAP R/3 and other intormation systems. Solution of this problem consists of the following stages:
Generation of all feasible cutting patterns according to specified types of boxes;
  • Finding the order of cutting patterns, which ensures production of required number of boxes, including
    the warehouse stock;
  • Scheduling the starting and end time for each cutting pattern in required order;
  • Scheduling the operation of conversion equipment taking into account productivity, tuning time,
    priorities and operational parameters.

The service and software system for cardboard production
planning uses advanced mathematical
models and optimization algorithms, developed by
IT-park of Petrozavodsk State University, to solve
all these tasks for any number of orders and any
configuration of equipment.
